DVD - DescriptionWhether or not this catchy 10-song music video will inspire your tot to master the potty, it will certainly provide 24 minutes of happy diversion. There are no preachy stories here. In fact there's no talking at all until a pediatrician and a producer (and mommy of three) make their appearances for less than five minutes at the end. Before that it's singing and dancing by bigger kids, potty-sitting by the youngsters, a diaper-wearing chimp doing both, and cartoon interludes. The songs address all aspects of potty training from washing hands, to sticker rewards, to toilet-training's role as a rite of passage. The reggae-drenched "Bye Bye Diapers, Hello Fun" and "Me Potty Wotty" are infectious and the rap-infused "I Have the Power" is positively soulful. By sticking with big kids as the inspiration rather than adults, this program may just inspire little ones to get on the potty--or at least get up and dance. We bought this to help toilet train my daughter who has special needs. She loves music and we thought this might help. She loves to watch and dance along to the songs (be careful, you will find yourself singing the songs in the middle of the night)So far a watching hit, but we've only had it for a few weeks.I gotta go, no - Rating: 1
I did not like this video and neither did my children. The quality looked poor, almost like a home video. My 2 year old that we are potty training would not watch it.Gotta Get this Video - Rating: 5
We've been struggling with getting our developmentally delayed son potty trained. Finally, my husband and I decided to combine a few systems. We purchased a potty training system and doll and bought two videos to accompany the one we already owned. My son loves singing and watching this video (as does our 14 month old daughter). I've heard my son on the potty singing "Do the Potty Dance" at a loud level and smiled several times. He has responded well and wants to potty now. He had a lot of anxiety before and didn't even want to sit on the potty before. Now he sits and eliminates, which is huge!Great for Training - Rating: 4
This is THE video that worked for our 3rd. He did not respond to the Elmo potty video we used for the 1st two. Yes, the songs are annoying; yes, there is a monkey in pull-ups' yes, bad acting. But, IT WORKED and I recommend it to anyone to try beause potty training is so different for each child.Hottie For The Potty - Rating: 5
Absolutely love this video. My daughter asks to watch it all the time. We dance and sing with it. We also sing the songs as we do all of our potty stuff. Would recommend it to anyone. We have the Elmo video but I think not having actual kids doing the act of potty use it really didn't click. This video has tons of little kids in it. So I think my daughter really identified with it. |
